Kase Revolution magnetic Black Mist filter, is a kind of soft focus filter. It gives a special effect to your photos and video, keeping the dark tones protected from this effect. 
The filter looks like normal clear glass, but when you look more carefully you see, that the glass is diffuse, containing small dark or black dots. 
These dots maintain contrast while diffusing the high lights.
The effect of the black fog filter is very small and is determined by the amount of high lights in your photo. 
If you have very even light, then you hardly notice it, but the more bright light sources you get in the picture, the more the effect becomes visible. 
It is like a mist that comes over the photo, without affecting the sharpness of the photo.
This filter is ideally suited for the photographer who would like to obtain a softer effect, especially for portrait or model photography.

This new Revolution series has in addition to the old familiar Wolverine glass, made of the same sturdy, color-neutral pro glass as our square filters, so you can be assured of good image quality.
The first is the new colored identification rings around the filters, which make it easier to recognize and select the filters faster, silver for CPL, blue for ND8, yellow for ND64 and red for ND1000....
The second is the new inlaid adapter ring, which fits into the lens thread, making the filters closer to the lens element and ultimately reducing vignetting, which is a great advantage for large wide-angle lenses.

The new Wolverine Magnetic Circular Revolution filters are backwards compatible with existing Kase Magnetishe Circular filters, magnetic rings, step-up adapter rings and the magnetic lens caps. So you can continue to use the circular filters and accessories you have already purchased. The new filters fit the old filters, but vice versa does not fit.
The magnetic lens cap is designed only for use with the magnetic adapters. They are not filter caps.

The Kase KW Revolution Magnetic Professional ND Kit includes 4 color-coded filters: ND8, ND64, ND1000, CPL, magnetic adapter, inlaid(Inlaid) ring and carrying case, plus magnetic lens cap. The Kase Wolverine glass features multiple layers of anti-reflective coatings to prevent internal ghosting and reflections while further improving clarity and color neutrality, and they have shock resistance. These coatings also have dirt, oil and mold repellency to stay clean longer, than uncoated filters.
These filters are perfect for those who do not need a full square system, with the advantage of being lighter and more compact. The sets include stackable neutral density filters and a CPL, useful for both photographers and videographers, allowing you to control both reflections and light.
