With this filter you can photograph infrared light. Infrared light of 720 nanometers is not visual light, the human eye does not perceive it. The Kase IR720 filter makes this wavelength "visible", which can produce very special effects.
The filter is mainly used in black and white photography. Photographing on bright, sun-drenched days produces the best results with this filter. This is when the sun's infrared light is strongest.
Your camera doesn't need to be adjusted. To see if this filter will work properly, you can check your camera. A good way to test this is to point your TV remote control at your lens. If you see a red light, it is more sensitive. The higher the sensitivity, the better the results, the lower the exposure required to capture infrared light.
