ND (Neutral Density) gray filter
ND gray filters are used when shooting with long shutter speeds, to control the exposure time of a scene at the time of shooting. The gray filter thus affects the amount of light, which reaches the sensor. The extent depends on the strength of the ND gray filter used. Gray filters do nothing else with the colors in your photo, making it easier to work with a slower shutter speed or open aperture.
